Innovation IN DITs

The third pillar of Innovation IN Digital Information Technologies (DITs) is enshrined in the seven Digital and Information Technologies. Technology is leading for this pillar, which is concerned with fundamental knowledge development and innovation in technologies that are of strategic, technological or economic importance for the Netherlands.

The programming seeks to align with the priorities of the National Technology Strategy (NTS) that is currently under development and the Digital Open Strategic Autonomy (DOSA) agenda of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The KIA Digitalisation prioritises, initiates and coordinates the programming for the seven DITs, aligning with the KIA Digital and Information Technologies, which is concerned with all the Digital and Information Technologies (DITs).

Relevance for all the missions

This pillar is about developing knowledge of and innovations in DITs with relevance for all missions and with generic applicability. In the longer term, this can then be fine-tuned to match the missions in Innovation WITH DITs.

DITs with relevance for all the missions are the seven Digital and Information Technologies. The framework for this pillar’s programming will be given shape in more detail after the National Technology Strategy (NTS) has been published. Innovation IN will build on existing coalitions, as well as on other research and innovation programmes such as Commit2Data, CS4NL and 6G Future Network Services.
